Creating a Swept Path
To create a Swept Path you must have a Vehicle selected on the Right Bar. You can have different Vehicle Swept Paths in the same location.
To navigate you can use Left or Right click to pan around the location. Beware that left clicking and dragging a Swept Path will move it.
Right Click to open the context menu.

Top Left:
- The main button is to go back to panning mode
- You can use the Zoom buttons or the mouse scroll wheel
Top Right:
- The main button is to start drawing a Swept Path
- You can enable Stop & Turn - this allows for Swept Paths to make tighter turns but assumes the Vehicle is driving by 'Stopping' and 'Turning'.
- You can hide the compass when drawing a Swept Path
Bottom Right:
- As we have the scale of the location, you can also draw measurements
To draw a Swept Path:
- Click the Top Right to start drawing a Swept Path.
- You will see your Vehicle hovering.
- Click where you want to start. A compass will appear to assist (disabled by the right click context menu), use your mouse to adjust the start heading of your Swept Path.
- Click to confirm your start heading.
- Move your mouse and your Vehicle will move and draw the path. If your Vehicle cannot make it to a point where you want then the turn may not be possible. The compass will show the heading change as well as the steer wheel turn angle.
- Click and it will lock in that as a segment.
- Repeat until you reach your desired end point.
- For the last segment double click to end the Swept Path drawing.
At any point you can use the undo button under the File tab or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z to undo segments to redraw it. You can also edit the Swept Path after confirming.
You can move the Swept Path around after it is finished by Left clicking and dragging it. You can also rotate it using the button at the top right, it will rotate about the center of the path.
If you Right Click the Swept Path, new options show up.
- You can play an animation in forward or reverse and the Vehicle will drive through at a set speed (this cannot be changed yet).
- You can make the Vehicle follow your mouse along the path if you want to view how it articulates.
- You can reorder the Swept Path by sending it forward/back if it overlaps with other Swept Paths.
